March 10 at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street  – "How Public Art Enriches Life and Empowers Children"

Diana Ingalls Leyba directs the Mimbres Region Arts Council (MRAC) Youth Mural Program. The goals of the MRAC Youth Mural Program is to teach students about the history and culture of their community, to connect students to their peers, local artists and community members, to teach students that pubic art can enrich and enhance the quality of life in their community, and to encourage students to engage in beautifying their community. Diana will present a slide show of the work and suggest future projects.

This is a Family Program Sunday and during March the UUFSC Children's Program will continue our exploration of intangible gifts, as they relate to the first UU principle: The inherent worth and dignity of every person. Today, our topic will be "The Gift of Acceptance", where we will consider the idea that every person has valuable gifts to offer. The Children's Program includes interactive conversation regarding the day's topic, along with arts and crafts or other related activities. Children 3-10 are invited to join in the fun.

There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome.
