The Silver City MainStreet Project and Arts & Cultural District (ACD) will hold the next Community Coordinating Council Meeting on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 9 am in the conference room at the Murray Ryan Visitor Center located at 201 N Hudson St. The Community Speaker will be Dr. David Scarborough, Assistant Professor of Management at the WNMU School of Business.

Dr. Scarborough will discuss Studio G, the School of Business Virtual Business Incubator. Copies of the application for this free service will be available. By becoming a Studio G site under New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center, Western New Mexico University supports university students and recent alumni interested in becoming entrepreneurs.  Studio G clients are given access to an online entrepreneurship curriculum, licensing advisement, intellectual property consulting, library materials, funding opportunities and other support.

The Silver City MainStreet and ACD work to make our downtown more vibrant through creative placemaking, streetscape improvements, encouraging artisan live/work spaces, wayfinding, and fostering the creative economy through monthly Community Coordinating Council Meetings. At these meetings we cooperate by sharing best practices, coordinating events, and supporting each other.

The meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 9 am at the Murray Ryan Visitor Center, unless otherwise noted.
