The Dutch Oven Cooking Team from Southwest Texas "Pecos County Iron" (from Pecos County, TEXAS) is returning this year to cook at the 2019 Dutch Oven gathering in Glenwood (Catron County) on Saturday, April 13. Cook Teams at this event will be there all morning and afternoon preparing their special meals for Dutch Oven Gathering attendees. Meal Tickets are $15 per person and the Cooking Teams will have their meals ready to be served to Meal Ticket Holders by 2 PM.

Pecos County Iron is headed up by Peery & Stacey Holmsley and Bill & Teresa Everett of Pecos County, Texas and we invite everyone to come to our cook camp and visit with us anytime during the day. Come make new friends here or renew friendships made last year and sample our Dutch Oven cobbler which we are making special for anyone who wants to come early to the Dutch Oven gathering and watch how we get it all done! It would make Pecos County Iron very happy to have visitors at our cook camp this year. We thank Molly Bryan (who organizes the Dutch Oven gathering in Glenwood, NM) for inviting us back to this very fun and family-friendly event.

There is going to be a whole lot going on in Glenwood on April 13 including vendors setting up retail booths at the Dutch Oven Gathering, Glenwood Retail and Thrift Shops will be open, coffee and refreshments will be sold for those who come early to the Dutch Oven Gathering and want a treat before the 2 PM meal begins and various vendors will line the streets early in the morning selling yummy treats and beverages to those visit Glenwood on April 13.

For added entertainment on April 13, the  scenic Catwalk Recreation Area just 5 minutes from downtown Glenwood is not to be missed with its beautiful Catwalk National Recreation Trail (disability friendly) which features the impressive Catwalk Bridge where hikers walk directly above the beautiful river water below on a suspended walking trail secured to the canyon walls. Come to town early, bring a lawn-chair and stay a while enjoying a beautiful day in Glenwood on April 13th enjoying the great outdoors! There are plenty of camp sites, places to park RVs and cabin rental/motels in and around Glenwood and close surrounding communities.

If you or anyone you know is interested in a camp cooking experience (we cook for small or large groups) for their hunting camp, family reunion, or other special event, Pecos County Iron and Camp Cook hosts Peery & Stacey Land Holmsley would enjoy to prepare an authentic camp cooked meal for your event.  We can be found at the Dutch Oven Gathering in Glenwood, NM this year on April 13 or by cell at 303-877-4839 or 432-661-7737.
