AARP and the Grant County Assn. of Educational Retirees will present BEWARE OF FRAUD & IDENTITY THEFT, Thursday, May 16 at 5:00 p.m. in the Activity Building of First Baptist Church, 2300 N.Swan St. in Silver City.  In this free program, you learn the latest con artist’s tricks and how to avoid becoming a victim. Persons with mobility issues should use the door at the south end of the building.

For their victims, con men and women target “easy touches” and frequently these are elderly. So if you are a senior or are caring for an older person, it is important for you to attend and learn how to protect yourself and your charge.

Presenting the program will be Patrick Gillespie of the Las Cruces AARP office and Roberta Lujan, a Victim Specialist with the FBI.  The power point and video presentation is free and will last about one hour.
