SILVER CITY-One of the most popular questions that Grant County Extension 4-H/Ag Agent Jessica Swapp receives is about trees. Most of the time the issue is occurring because of improper watering. However, that is not always the case. There are many questions relating to trees in the community.

NMSU Grant County Cooperative Extension Service will host a Gardening Series Workshop “All About Trees” on June 3, 2019 from 3-5:30pm at the Grant County Cooperative Extension Office located at 2610 N. Silver St. in Silver City, NM

Community members will hear from Marisa Thompson, NMSU Extension Horticulture Specialist on planting, maintenance, pest control and common tree issues.

The event is free to the public. “Participants can expect to learn some very helpful best management practices when it comes to planting or maintaining trees that they already have,” said Swapp.
