Silver City MainStreet in cooperation with the Small Business Development Center at WNMU is offering a workshop on social media for small businesses. The workshop, “Promote Your Business Online” will be held on Thursday May 23, 2019 from 5 pm to 8pm at the Small Business Development Center located at Watts Hall. Watts Hall is on the corner of Highway 180 and Swan Street.

The workshop presenter is Robyne Beaubien, a Promotion Revitalization Specialist with New Mexico MainStreet. She loves what she does, and it shows in her enthusiastic, and practical approach to creating successful promotional plans for businesses, organizations, and communities.

The workshop will cover how to tell your story online, which social media platforms you should use, tips to maximize your business presence online, Facebook and Instagram tips, and much more.

Silver City MainStreet Executive Director Charmeine Wait states, “I have taken classes from Robyne and her classes are always fun and engaging. We are so happy to work with Jane Janson, the Director of the Small Business Development Center. Jane will be hosting the workshop in the SBDC computer lab. MainStreet has heard from a number of downtown businesses that they need help with social media so MainStreet and the SBDC decided to work together to get a class in the community. It is also a great opportunity to learn about the free services of the SBDC.”

To sign up for the class, please go to the SBDC at WNMU website at www.nmsbdc.org/silver-city then click on “Our Workshops”. For more information, please email Charmeine@silvercitymainstreet.com or call 575-534-1700. The class is free to downtown businesses or $20 for all others. Attendees can bring a laptop or use a computer at the workshop. Space is limited so please register by May 20, 2019.

The mission of Silver City MainStreet is "To encourage a vibrant, historic downtown Silver City which is recognized as the heart of our diverse community." Please visit our website, www.silvercitymainstreet.com to learn more.
