WNMU Regents Meet Before Friday’s Spring 2019 Commencement 

What: The Western New Mexico University Board of Regents meeting on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Western New Mexico University (1000 W. College Ave.). The board will consider several items including recommendations for Emeritus designation, several employee-related issues and the five-year capital outlay and improvement projects. Additionally, the board will consider an honorary doctorate degree to be conferred during WNMU’s spring 2019 commencement the following day.

Who: Regents Janice Baca-Argabright, Dr. Carl Foster, Jerry Walz, Mary Hotvedt and Timothy (Tim) Stillman will represent their respective committees. Western New Mexico University President Dr. Joseph Shepard and other senior vice presidents will speak on some of the action items. The following people will give reports: Provost Jack Crocker, Vice President for Business Affairs Kelley Riddle, President of Faculty Senate Dr. Scott Fritz and President Shepard.  

When: The WNMU Board of Regents will hold an executive session beginning at 8:30 a.m. The regular session and board will convene at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019.  

Where: The regular session will occur in the Thomas B. McDonald Student Memorial Building Seminar Room. The meeting can also be streamed live and viewed afterward here
