will scnm 140905 i1Kelduyn Garland, PhD, DD, will share her update on Erik Erikson’s eight stages of man, at the August 27 meeting of the Silver City Rotary Club, in a talk entitled “The 9th Age of (Hu)man.”  Her talk will focus on the retirement stage of life and its challenges and opportunities.

Dr. Garland is a retired BodyMind therapist and consultant who specialized in geriatrics and major life transitions for the last 20 years of her 40-year practice before retiring to Silver City the end of 2012.  

Members of the public are always invited to attend Rotary Club meetings that are of interest to them.  The Silver City Rotary Club meets every Tuesday for lunch in the Sunset Room of the WNMU Student Cafeteria in the WNMU Student Memorial Building at 1000 College Avenue.  There is no charge to attend the meeting, but guests are asked to contribute $10 if they wish to join the Rotarians in eating a lunch with a hot entree, salad, and dessert.  The lunch line opens at noon; the meeting begins at 12:15 p.m.; the presentation starts at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 1 p.m.
