This framed needlepoint by Holly Fawcett featured at the Catwalk Gallery is a fundraiser for Glenwood Community Library. Friday, September 13, is Movie Night at Glenwood Community Library. The film is “The Biggest Little Farm,” a documentary about a couple who left their LA life to start a small traditional farm. It covers eight years of their life as they work to develop a sustainable farm on 200 acres outside of Los Angeles. Free popcorn and soft drinks are provided. Donations are always appreciated. September 14 is the Second Saturday Artists and Appetizers event at The Catwalk Gallery and Gift Shop on Highway 180 in Glenwood. Meet the artists and mingle with friends from 3-5 p.m. the second Saturday of every month. Take the opportunity to get to know local artists and explore the wide variety of art and gift items available. From notecards to needlework to original paintings and sculpture, there are items in many styles and price ranges.

Bingo
Glenwood Senior Center will be hosting a Harvest Bingo on Saturday Sept. 14 starting at noon. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. featuring homemade soups, bratwurst and sausages, homemade rolls and homemade cookies.
Proceeds will be used to cover maintenance on the Senior Center van.
The bingo event will include a $100 Blackout, two Special $50 Games and seven Regular $25 Games. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Games are 10 for $15.
The Senior Center is also looking for individuals and companies who are interested in becoming SPONSORS for each of the Bingo Games.
Cosmic Campground
This month the Cosmic Campground Weekend will be September 27, 28, and 29, with New Moon on Saturday Sept. 28. Bring friend, red filtered flashlight, very warm clothes, a lawn chair, and telescope and binoculars if you have them. Make new friends and enjoy the wonders of the night sky. Glenwood Street Market – Every Saturday
The Glenwood Street Market offers a variety of food – home-baked items, canned goods, fresh produce, plants, handcrafted jewelry, leather goods, outdoor decorative items and much more. It is open on Highway 180 in downtown Glenwood every Saturday from approximately 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Trading Post has reopened under new management, Kerry Ruth and Carla Schmeider, who also operate Los Olmos Lodge. The rejuvenated store, on Highway 180 in downtown Glenwood, offers snacks, drinks, sandwiches and – gas (available 24/7). As an added bonus, they have purchased the stock from the Rock Shop which had been closed and rockhounds of all ages will be pleased to peruse their offerings.
Mogollon, the area’s own Ghost Town is back in business. The quaint former mining community is open weekends for the season. The Purple Onion Cafe opens at 9 a.m., the Old Kelly Store and the Mogollon Museum open at 10 a.m.
