Bayard Police Department

Welfare check
Caller advised she hasn’t heard from a named female in 4-5 days/the last time she saw her was when she was fighting with her father. Officer advised clear from welcheck/called caller.

Saturday, Aug. 31

Welfare check
Rogers Street
The water in Silver and Bayard is infected and it infected her and her family. Caller advised her blood is in the water and it is now infected. Caller advised her and her family is (sic) very sick. Dispatch could hear a child crying for a bit in the background. Caller kept repeating herself about the water advising she needs protection. Caller could hardly talk English. Officer advised clear/everything is okay/daughter is on her way.

Daughter and her boyfriend are arguing outside the house.

Orchard Street – 6:15 p.m.
Caller advised a mother was supposed to take her 11-day-old infant to the ER to be checked out as the infant was having weight loss after birth and she did not show up. Officer had contact advising child seems okay/mother advised she was unable to find a ride/she would go tomorrow.

Criminal damage to property
400 Tom Foy Blvd.
Officers advised negative on damage to any vehicles/children were turned over to their mothers.

Orchard Street – 4 p.m.
Caller advised an infant is underweight after being discharged from the hospital. Officer advised she and the baby are en route to GRMC.

Poplar Street
Caller advised his 79-year-old mother is not answering the phone. Officer had contact advising clear/everything is okay/she will be calling her son.

Weapons fired
Runnels Drive
Caller advised he saw three subjects shooting in the air/sounded and looked like an assault rifle. Officer advised shots being heard are fireworks. Deputy advised negative contact with any shots fired, only fireworks. Officer advised negative contact with three subjects/will continue to ATL.

Officer advised clear/someone was arguing with someone on the phone.

Saturday, Aug. 31

Domestic disturbance
Aztec Avenue – 6:48 p.m.
Caller advised a named male put his hands on him/he is possibly going down the road to another residence. Officer advised 25-year-old male alert/breathing/was hit in the face twice/no bleeding.

Sunday, Sept. 1

Burglary
Aztec Avenue – 11:30 p.m.
Caller advised she just got home and the front door is broken/doesn’t believe anything was taken.

N. Mineral Street
Caller advised her ex is outside with a gun threatening to shoot her/she cannot walk out the door/he is saying he is going to kill her/caller is yelling at someone now.

11988 Highway 180
Male walking in the roadway. Second caller advised a male is walking back and forth on Highway 180 and lay down in the middle of the road and vehicles had to stop and swerve to miss him. Officer out with the named male.
