i jeffgoinJeff Goin, founder and executive director of the Lotus Center, will talk about the center’s Yoga in Public Schools project at the September 10 Silver City Rotary Club meeting. The project, which began with the 2917-18 school year, has dispatched yoga instructors to teach students at four Grant County public schools and one Montessori school.

“Yoga is an extremely effective and valuable means of promoting physical and emotional well-being for everyone and we think it is important that people learn yoga during their formative years,” says Goin.

Members of the public are always invited to attend Rotary Club meetings that are of interest to them. The Silver City Rotary Club meets every Tuesday for lunch in the Sunset Room of the WNMU Student Cafeteria in the WNMU Student Memorial Building at 1000 College Avenue. There is no charge to attend the meeting, but guests are asked to contribute $10 if they wish to join the Rotarians in eating a lunch with a hot entree, salad, and dessert. The lunch line opens at noon; the meeting begins at 12:15 p.m.; the presentation starts at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 1 p.m.
