September 22, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street – “From an Episcopalian Minister’s Daughter to a Unitarian Universalist Member”

Claire Shawhan will begin her talk with stories about her life as a preacher's kid. She will discuss the changes in her life as an Episcopalian when she began questioning the Christian faith, and share how she found the Unitarian Universalist Faith, which fits her spiritual needs.

This is a Family Program Sunday and today’s Children's Program, “Courage and Perseverance,” will continue our previous conversation about “Making a Difference.” The children will learn the meanings of courage and perseverance, and how they are vital qualities to develop for creating positive change in the world. We’ll discuss some real-life world-changers, and children will begin to create their own comic or storybook about changing the world.

There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City is a diverse group of religious independents seeking knowledge, spiritual sustenance, fellowship and opportunities for service to others. Our programs encompass humanism, liberal Christianity, earth-based spirituality, Buddhism and many other traditions. If you’d like to find out more, email uufellowshipofsilvercity@gmail.com, visit our website atwww.uufsc.com or visit us on Facebook at Unitarian-Universalist-Fellowship-of-Silver-City.
