paulaPaula Geisler, owner of the Geisler Gallery aka Common Ground is admiring last year’s People’s Choice award winning entry “The Raven” by Ann Alexander. The Individual Artists of the Silver City Art Association cordially invite the public to their opening reception for the 2019 Indie Artist Show. “Do You See What I See?” is the theme for this year’s show and is expected to excite the creativity in the participating artists as well as provide an enticing show for  the viewing public. The opening reception will be at the Geisler Gallery AKA Common Ground from 5-7 pm on Saturday, October 12. There will be  refreshments  plus some special surprises!   It is a great time to meet the participants and see the newest and best work of our local artists.  

This exciting show always brings out a full range of the best of local art, including sculptures, fine art, folk art and applied art. The featured art is selected to delight the viewer and sometimes puzzle them in  their interpretation of the presentation. This year’s theme “Do You See What I See?” may take that even a step further!

This is a show to be talked about in the local art scene, and one that you will not want to miss!  The 2019 Indie Artist Show is opening with a grand reception, on Saturday, October 12,, at 7 p.m. at the Geisler Gallery aka Common Ground, 102 West Kelly Street, Silver City. “Monday night at the Movies” is also being planned by Paula for an outside showing of featured artists’ work!

The 2019 SCAA Indie Artist Show is part of the annual Weekend at the Galleries and hours for the show are Saturday, October 12, from 10 till 7, Sunday, October 13, from 10 till 3 and Monday, October 14, from 10 till 2.  The show will also be available for viewing during regular hours Geisler Gallery hours through Saturday, November 9.
