Hello Silver City,

This is your local community Makerspace, Future Forge Inc.

On behalf of Future Forge we want to start by expressing our greatest thanks to all the members of the community that have supported us over our journey, our members, our partners in business, and especially volunteers.

Future Forge Makerspace is reaching out to ask for your support as we are a non-profit organization and are reliant on donations and memberships to keep the makerspace up and running.

Ways you can support the Future Forge:

Become a Member Come by our weekly tours of the Future Forge Makerspace Saturdays at 12, noon and consider becoming a member. For more information check out our website HERE

Monetary Donations We rely on monetary donations to fund a big portion of our operations. You can make a monetary donation of any amount, it really helps keep the space and equipment up and running. We have many different tiers of support you can choose from! We understand if you cannot afford a membership, there is the option of becoming a volunteer or even a monetary donation as little as five dollars a month would be valued and put to great use. Wishlist We also are putting together a wish list for things we are looking for! It isn't quite complete, but we are working on it every day! You can always donate tools or time instead of money and receive a receipt you can write off on your taxes at the end of the year. Check out our Wish List HERE

Updates on things we've been working on:

Through the transition into the new space, we have had a lot of new expenses and spent a lot on making the space usable, like installing electricity, roof repairs, heating/cooling, and other essentials. The Future Forge Community Makerspace is purchasing the property next door to us so that we can expand the makerspace and develop a local community park and outdoor teaching space while learning a lot about how to improve the value of our neighborhoods. We are now shifting focus from space work, to volunteers and members as well as infrastructure.

We'd like to say 'thank you!' to everyone who participated in our beginner level classes, which were a great success! And 'Congratulations!' on your brilliant efforts! We here at the Forge are very happy to see you excited about learning. We hope that you will be able to show your support and help us continue to provide this opportunity to our community. We want your Makerspace to succeed, to expand the Maker community and grow the Maker movement, to share the Maker mindset and DIY mentality, and to engage and stimulate your neighborhood, school, town or region. Please feel free to share this information with family, friends, and members of your community!

Again, we want to thank you all for being the structure and foundation that supported us through our many major transitions, projects, and especially for being the reason we still exist today!

Incredibly Grateful,

Future Forge Board of Directors and Facility Manager

Stephen Lindsey - Chairman

Mary Stone - Treasurer
