The Silver City Rotary Club will present the Rock Away Polio concert at Light Hall on the WNMU campus at 7-9 pm on Saturday September 30. Featured artists will be Blues Dawg and Famous Raymos and the Sugarcubes, led by Amos Torres.
 
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from at the door and online at SilverCityRotary.org.
 
All  proceeds will be matched 2-for-1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which participates with Rotary International, WHO, CDC, and UNICEF in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Polio is more virulent than COVID and routinely travels out of Pakistan on airplanes.
