Ofrenda2October 29, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street  – “El Día de los Muertos”
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City will be celebrating the beautiful Mexican, and Latin American, tradition of honoring family members who have passed away. There will be an “Ofrenda” or offering placed on an altar intended to welcome the deceased to the altar setting. Usually this takes place in a home.
We will modify this tradition somewhat by placing tables in the Sanctuary or Social Hall with flowers (traditionally marigolds) and candles. Please bring a photo of the person or persons you wish to honor and place it on the table along with a memento and flowers if you wish. You will have the opportunity briefly, (two minutes or less) to name the person or persons you want to remember and tell us something about them.
Please join us for this unique service.
There are speakers on the patio if you wish to enjoy the service outside.

UUFSC Safety Protocol as pursuant to our most recent UUA Guidelines:
Masks are now optional, but their use is encouraged. We will continue to serve refreshments on the patio and in the building. Visitors are always welcome.
