Office closure allows all employees to participate in annual training meeting

QUEMADO, NM, November 13, 2023 – The Gila National Forest, Quemado Ranger District office will be closed Wednesday, November 15 for an all-employee safety meeting away from the office.
“Safety training and employee development opportunities are for all employees, not just those who work in the field,” said Quemado District Ranger Randall Chavez. “Closing the office for one day is an inconvenience to customers but allows all staff to participate equally in activities meant for all.”

Normal hours and services will resume at the Quemado Ranger District on Thursday, November 16. Those needing assistance on Wednesday may reach out to the Reserve Ranger District at 575-533-6232, located at 5 Smokey Bear Circle in Reserve as the next closest option.
