The SW Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) will participate at the 2024 Give Grandly event on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Main Street Plaza in downtown Silver City. SWFAC will be offering a make-and-take fiber flower activity at their booth.

“We are excited to participate again this year”, states Jean Hill board vice-president. “We are so grateful to the Grant County Community Foundation and the Give Grandly Coalition for sponsoring this annual 24-hour community giving day that supports so many local nonprofit organizations in our community. Come by our booth and meet some of our members. It’s a great way to learn about the fiber arts and what we do. We would love to meet you!”

Donations can be made online now at www.givegrandly.org  or come by in person on May 4th. Donations will go toward our operating expenses so we can fulfill our mission of providing fiber artisans a means to earn income, learn and network. SWFAC will also be offering two fiber art activities this June as part of the Silver City Public Library’s summer youth programming.

SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in the southwest. To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one another. Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn income from their art. Please visit SWFAC’s website at www.fiberartscollective.org  to learn more about the organization.
