The Grant County 4-H enrollment deadline is now March 1st. 

Youths between the ages of 5 to 8 years may enroll as Cloverbuds.  National 4-H rules state these members may not compete at this age.  Youths 9 years of age or 8 years and in the 3rd grade prior to January 1st are considered novice 4-H members.  A youth who has passed his/her 12th birthday or is 11 years old and in the 6th grade prior to January 1st of the current 4-H year is considered a Junior 4-H member. To be considered a Senior 4-H Member, a youth must have passed his/her 14th birthday or be 13 years old and in the 8th grade, but may not have passed his/her 19th birthday prior to January 1st of the current 4-H year. If a member is 14 years old or 13 and in the 8th grade before January 1, then he or she is considered a Senior 4-H member. 

The 4-H program is open to any youth in appropriate age category on a nondiscriminatory basis regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.  For more information call the Grant County Extension Office at 388-1559.
