Alamogordo, NM – On September 10, 2017, Oliver Lee Memorial State Park will temporarily close to rehabilitate the well that provides water to the park.

"Safety is priority for our visitors and we need to upgrade and modernize the water system that provides drinking water, showers and fire suppression to the park," said Region Manager Randy Ferris.

Although State Parks expects the Oliver Lee Memorial to reopen for camping September 16th, the park will remain closed until further notice.

Oliver Lee Memorial State Park is located eight miles south of Alamogordo on Highway 54 and four miles east on Dog Canyon Road.
