Albuquerque, NM: Join us for an educational, fun family-oriented event at the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park on Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park will host Herbfest 2018, a springtime celebration benefiting education at the Nature Center.
Herbfest will highlight fun activities for all to enjoy:
- Guided Bird Walks at 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. both days
- Music in the Park by 80 Jackson Street, Dog Star, Littlefoot, Far from Home, Music for all Seasons, SyZygy, Friends Forever, and Virginia Creepers.
Herbfest offers herbs, wildflowers, and native plants for sale; arts and crafts for sale, and a speaker program. The day will also include guided bird and nature walks, an exciting raffle, crafts for kids, bird ID with the Audubon Society, a biofacts table, and unusual refreshments. The event is free for members of the Friends and for those displaying an annual permit. Parking for others is $3 per vehicle.
