White Sands Missile Range Notification

Traffic updates are posted on the NMDOT traffic advisory web-site at http://nmroads.com and can be retrieved through our automated system at 511 in New Mexico or 1-800-432-4269 from any line.

White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) has posted an alert for Wednesday 6 June 2018, Highway 70 is scheduled to close two times for approximately 1 hour each. Blocks will set at Red block which is located at the San Augustin Pass and at Yellow block which is located at the White Sands National Monument. First block will set at 7:10 a.m. and lift approximately at 8:10 a.m. Second block will set at 8:40 a.m. and lift approximately at 9:40 a.m. LC Gate, Owen Rd., and Nike Avenue will also be affected. Be advised and aware that all blocks are subject to change without notice.

Interstates:

I-10, Mile Marker 84 to 100, Deming 1101630
FNF Construction, INC. (Contractor) will continue Roadway Rehabilitation along Interstate 10. Multiple lane closures will be in effect on both the westbound and eastbound lanes. An 11' width restriction will be in effect until June 8, 2018. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, use extreme caution, and be cautious of personnel in the area. Hours of operation will be from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 pm, seven days a week. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2018.

I-25, Mile Marker 154 to 157.839, Lemitar CN 1100660
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) is continuing with bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction on Interstate 25 in Socorro Co. Traffic is being diverted from northbound driving lanes to southbound driving lanes to begin the next phase of the project. A 12' width restriction will be in effect throughout the project. Hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2018.

Las Cruces Area Pavement Striping
Highway Supply (Contractor) will have multiple exit ramp partial closures for pavement striping in various locations in the Las Cruces area. Starting June 3rd closures will begin on Picacho/Alameda Jct., moving to Picacho/Valley Dr. Jct., I-10 WB Motel Dr. off ramp, I-10 EB Motel Dr. off ramp and Sam Steel/Union Ave Jct. Closure are overnight 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. as to minimally impact traffic and is expected last till Sunday June 17th. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, use extreme caution, and be cautious of personnel and equipment in the area.

US Roadways:

US 70, N Main, Solano, 3 Crosses, Mile Markers 149.2 to 149.5, Las Cruces LC000120
AUI, Inc. (Contractor) is currently completing roadway reconstruction on US 70 / Solano Dr. Traffic on US 70/N Main Street will have a lane closure on the eastbound lane, Solano will have a lane closure on the southbound lane. Construction will be from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm, 5 days a week, and is scheduled to be completed by summer 2018.

US 70/N Main St. at Camino Del Rex, Las Cruces
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Morrow Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) will begin signal light and drainage work along the northbound shoulder of N. Main St. at Camino Del Rex. Traffic may encounter a lane drop and shoulder work in the area. Hours of operation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
State Roadways:

NM 15 "Pinos Altos", Mile Marker 0 to 1.21, Silver CityCN1100810
TLC Construction (Contractor) will be reconstructing the roadway, installing curb and gutter, sidewalk and bike lanes. NM 15 from HWY 180 to the 32nd street interchange will have one way traffic only. Detours will be in place and traffic is asked to reduce speed and use caution, seek an alternate route if possible. Contractor's hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday; closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Construction is scheduled to be completed by spring of 2019.

NM 136" Pete V Domenici Hwy", Mile Marker 0.448 to 9.168, Santa Teresa E100081,82,83
FNF Construction, INC. (Contractor) continues with roadway reconstruction, roadway rehabilitation, bridge rehabilitation, signalization & lighting along NM 136 the Pete V Domenici Intl. Hwy. Traffic will encounter lane closures as well as detours with an 11' width restriction in effect throughout the project. Northbound and southbound traffic will be on the northbound lanes with single lanes in both directions divided by temporary concrete wall barrier. They will remain in this configuration until the next phase change in July. Contractor's hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday; lane closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

NM 498 "Racetrack Drive" Mile Marker 0.600 to 0.900, Sunland Park CN E100140
Hasse Contracting Co., Inc. (Contractor) will continue with bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction. NM 498 will be closed from Doniphan Drive to Futurity Drive; detour is in place on Sunland Park Drive. The Contractor's hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2018.

NM 152 Mile Marker 5 to 6, Hanover
James Hamilton Construction Co. (Contractor) will have a detour in place for road work on NM 152 for the construction of the Bebo Arch Structure. Speed limit will be reduced to 20 MPH. A 10' width restriction will be in effect throughout the project. Hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. till 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Construction is scheduled to be complete by summer 2018.

NM 273 "McNutt Road" Mile Marker 0 - 3, Sunland Park***New Construction***
Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will begin with roadway reconstruction, rehabilitation, signalization & lighting along NM 273 "McNutt Rd". Beginning on Tuesday, May 29th, traffic may encounter temporary lane closures throughout the project while preliminary work begins. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2019.

NM 273 "McNutt Road" Mile Marker 5 - 6, Santa Teresa
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have maintainers on the roadway. NM 273 from mile post 5 (Santa Teresa) to mile post 6 the driving right lane will be closed due to roadway repairs. This closure is expected Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

NM 152 Mile Marker 40 to 37, Kingston
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have maintainers on the roadway. NM 152 between mile markers 40 (Kingston) - 37 both lanes will be intermittently closed for blade patching in the area. Closure will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.

NM 187 "El Camino Real" Mile Marker 24 to 36, Caballo
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have maintainers on the roadway. NM 187 between mile markers 24-36 both lanes will be intermittently closed for blade patching in the area. Closure will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Chip Sealing Operations:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be performing "Chip Sealing" with Brooming and Fog Sealing operations in Sierra & Dona Ana Co. Speed limit will be reduced, no center stripe and loose gravel on roadway. Traffic will encounter lane drops with pilot car and flagging operations.

NM 27 "Lake Valley to Hillsboro" mile post 14.5 to 30
NM 187 "EL Camino Real" from mile post 4.5 to 12, Hatch North
NM 390 "Carriage Hills Rd" mile post 0 - 2.2, Salem

Special Events
16th Annual 5K Walk/Run, Sunland Park
Families in Crisis will be holding their annual 5K Walk/Run Saturday June 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. During this time traffic can expect closures on Sunland Park Dr. Please expect delays and plan an alternate route.

Race for CARE 5K Run/1K Walk, Mesilla
CARE will be holding their annual 5K Run/1K Walk Sunday June 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. During this time traffic can expect closures on Calle del Norte & Snow Rd. Please expect delays and plan an alternate route.

Alert
Walking Sands Rest Area at mile post 167 northbound and southbound will be closed from 3:00 a.m. till 5:00 a.m. on June 2 for power outages.

Las Cruces Projects – City of Las Cruces:

Arroyo Road
From Red Hawk Golf Road to Sonoma Ranch Blvd will be closed to through traffic. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed and follow detours around the construction zone.

Brownlee Avenue
From Second Street to Third Street will be closured to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Church Street
From Bowman Avenue to Griggs Street will have one lane closured to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Dona Ana Road
From Hamula Drive to Richard Drive is closured to traffic. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Eagle Ridge Drive
From Mars Avenue to Sunridge Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Highridge Street
From Mars Avenue to Sunridge Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Main Street
At the intersection of Griggs Avenue is open to through traffic.

Second Street
From Picacho Avenue to W Hadley Avenue will be closured to through traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

W Hadley Avenue
From N Mesilla Street to North Reymond Street is open to through traffic.

Water Street
From Bowman Avenue to Griggs Street will have the west lane closured to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

El Paso Projects – Go 10/Border West Expressway
