Albuquerque, NM – The New Mexico Film Foundation (NMFF) is holding its annual Summer Soiree fundraiser on Saturday, July 14, from 6:00 -9 p.m., at The Nativo Lodge in Albuquerque. This year's theme is Music in Film.

Dirk Norris, Executive Director of the New Mexico Film Foundation said, "We are very happy to be honoring local filmmakers Barbara Bentree and John Rangel and their new documentary film "Dave Grusin: Not Enough Time." Grusin's work during his extensive six-decade career has resulted in some of the most moving and memorable music for iconic films and television shows including "Tootsie," "Heaven Can Wait," "On Golden Pond," "The Fabulous Baker Boys," and "Three Days of the Condor" to name just a few. The trailer of the film will premiere at the Soiree.

"Dave Grusin's career is based upon a profound work ethic and an exceptional focus on quality," says filmmaker Barbara Bentree. "He has unanimous respect and admiration within the film and music industries. But because of Dave's incredible modesty, many people have no idea just how vast his accomplishments have been."

Other local composers and musicians will be celebrated such as Daniel Carlton, Melyssa Garland, Jono Manson and Jerry Douglas Geist. There will be live performances of songs from films by Harry Musselwhite, Leslie Umphrey, John Yuan, and an ensemble singing "There is No Business Like Show Business" from "Annie Get Your Gun."
