Washington, DC – Congressman Steve Pearce released the following statement regarding the annual Congressional Baseball Game:

"The Congressional Baseball Game is a longstanding tradition, which promotes unity between both parties in the House of Representatives. This is a night where Members of Congress put aside political bias and take to the field, forming friendships with those across the aisle and playing baseball to support charity. We look forward to reaching a historic record attendance this year as tonight's game marks the one-year anniversary of the shooting that took place at our practice. This year, we look ahead and reflect on what it means to overcome and fight through adversity. I look forward to joining my teammates on the field tonight, as we shed light on the importance of bipartisanship and America's pastime."
