SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health's Bureau of Vital Records will be participating in the Real ID Free Legal Fair Saturday, July 21st from 10 am to 1 pm at the Barelas Community Center, 800 Barelas Rd. SW in Albuquerque. The Real ID Free Legal Fair will be an opportunity for the public to get help obtaining their driver's license, ID, or name change.

In addition to representatives from the Bureau of Vital Records, the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Department's Mobile Unit and attorneys will be on-site to answer constituent questions.

Remember: to get your birth certificate, you'll need to provide several required documents to prove your identity and age. These requirements are listed here.

Birth certificates are only issued to the applicant, immediate family members, or those who represent tangible proof of legal interest. Additionally, Vital Records onlyissues certificates for individuals born within the State of New Mexico.

This is a first come, first served event with bilingual staff available. Please bring all related paperwork with you for the attorney to review.
