ALBUQUERQUE – September 10, 2018 –True Health New Mexico has received Interim Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). NCQA is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to assessing and reporting on the quality of managed care plans, managed behavioral healthcare organizations, preferred provider organizations, new health plans, physician organizations, credentials verification organizations, disease management programs, and other health-related programs.

"Not all health plans are required to seek NCQA accreditation, but True Health New Mexico chose to do so," explained Dr. Martin Hickey, True Health New Mexico CEO. "This achievement is an important part of our progression and an opportunity to create benchmarks for our high standards of quality. We are particularly proud that we received this status after only eight months of operation."

According to the NCQA, the accreditation is a reliable indicator of quality and value that consumers, employers, and agents look for. True Health New Mexico will keep its Interim Accreditation status for 18 months. After that time period, True Health New Mexico will be eligible for accreditation.

"We believe all New Mexicans deserve health coverage that helps them receive the care they need more easily," Dr. Hickey added. "Through our ongoing commitment to quality, we help our members reach their best state of health."
