SANTA FE — The Legislative Health and Human Services Committee (LHHS) will hold its fifth meeting of the 2018 interim on Wednesday, September 26, through Friday, September 28, 2018, beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day. Wednesday’s hearing will take place at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, Room 152, 3501 Arrowhead Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88001. Hearings on Thursday and Friday will take place at New Mexico State University, Fulton Center, 1815 Wells St., Las Cruces, NM 88001

At this meeting, the committee members will hear testimony regarding various healthcare insurance issues, including: access issues, market stability, federal trends, state authority and surprise billing practices. The committee will also hear presentations regarding Medicaid buy-in, health data interoperability, behavioral health and dental health.

The LHHS will welcome public comment at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26; 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 27; and 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28.
