Around 9:00 p.m. on October 9, 2018, New Mexico State Police agents arrested Katryna Moya (17) Alejandra Gonzalez (16), both from Espanola, NM. Both were arrested without incident at their residences in Espanola. Moya and Gonzalez are both charged with the following crimes related to the homicide of Cameron Martinez and shootings of three other people on October 4, 2018: Tampering with Evidence; Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon; and Conspiracy to Commit Tampering with Evidence.

Both Moya and Gonzalez admitted to State Police agents that on the evening of October 4, 2018, they were made aware of a plan by Mark Hice to shoot anyone whom Hice felt might have been threatening him. Gonzalez acknowledged she was the driver of the tan Nissan passenger car which was involved in the shooting, and Moya was a passenger. After the shooting, both Moya and Gonzalez assisted Hice and the other suspects in disposing of evidence and hiding the vehicles involved.
