In all construction zones, motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, as well as continue to be cautious of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the area.

Traffic updates are posted on the NMDOT traffic advisory web-site at here and can be retrieved through our automated system at 511 in New Mexico or 1-800-432-4269 from any line.Tuesday, January 15, 2019, Highway 380 (North Range), is scheduled to be blocked one time. Block is scheduled to set at 7:45 a.m. for approximately 2 hours. Blocks are at Gold Block located at mile marker 3 and Silver Block which is located at mile marker 49. Be advised that all blocks are subject to change without notice.

Interstates:

I-25, Mile Marker 154 to 157.839, Lemitar 

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) is continuing with bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction on Interstate 25 in Socorro Co. All lanes are now open; contractor will resume finalization of project March of 2019.

I-25, Mile Marker 90.4 and Mile Marker 74.23, T or C Area

Uretek (Contractor) will be working on I-25 on both the northbound and southbound lanes at milepost 90.4. Traffic will encounter lane closures intermittingly while work is completed to the concrete structures in the area. Once construction is completed, Uretek will move to I-25 northbound lanes at milepost 74.23 with continued intermittent lane closures. Speed limit will be reduced as well as a 16’ width restriction. Hours of construction will be from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily.

I-10, Mile Marker 133 to 164, Las Cruces to Texas State Line

Valley Fence (Contractor) is currently performing guardrail replacement along Interstate 10 in Dona Ana Co. starting at milepost 133 headed east to Texas State line. Traffic will encounter lane closures including overnight closures intermittently on the westbound driving right lane as well as reduced interstate speeds limits from milepost 141 to 137, no closures expected to exits or on/off ramps.

I-10, Mile Marker 85.5, Deming

The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have intermittent personnel and equipment on the roadway for bridge deck repairs. Traffic will encounter lane closures on the eastbound lanes. Speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph, closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Construction hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by February 2019.

US Roadways:

US 380, Mile Marker 40 to 25, San Antonio

The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have maintainers and equipment on US 380 due to “Fog Sealing” operations. Roadway will have lane closures with a flagging operation from milepost 23 working west to milepost 15. Speed limit will be reduced and traffic will encounter no center stripe. Construction will be from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. daily and is expected to be completed by January 2019.

State Roadways:

NM 1, Mile Marker 60, Socorro

H.O. Construction (Contractor) is currently performing drainage and erosion control to the Bridge Structure on NM 1 at milepost 60.2 to 60.5 in Socorro County. Traffic can expect lane closures during construction. Construction hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by late summer 2019. 

NM 181, Mile Marker 3 to 4, T or C

La Calerita (Contractor) is currently performing bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction operations to NM 181 in Sierra County. NM 181 will be CLOSED during construction with a detour in place. The closure will be 24 hours a day, construction hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by late summer 2019. 

NM 169, Mile Marker 30, Alamo

Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will continue with Bridge Preservation, Bank Armoring, Rip Rap and miscellaneous construction of the Rio Arriba Bridge/Arroyo. Traffic will encounter lane closures and shoulder work. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

NM 195 “Lakeshore Rd”, Mile Marker 1.2, Elephant Butte

The New Mexico Department of Transportation has replaced the culvert pipe at milepost 1.2 on NM 195. Traffic will encounter loose gravel and a bump on the roadway until repairs can be completed and roadway repaved.

NM 404 “E OHara Rd”, Mile Marker 0 to 1, Anthony

FNF Construction, INC. (Contractor) will continue with the installation of a shared use path and lighting along NM 404 "E OHara Rd" in Anthony, New Mexico. Traffic may encounter lane drops and flagging operations. Speed limits will be reduced at times. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

NM 188 Valley Drive/ NM 28 Avenida de Mesilla, Las Cruces

AUI, Inc. (Contractor) is currently performing roadway reconstruction, utility replacements and lighting/signalization improvements on Valley Drive and Avenida de Mesilla. Currently the (2) active zones of construction are on Valley Drive from Picacho to Amador and on Avenida de Mesilla from Valley to Hickory.

Valley Drive between Picacho and Amador traffic is currently pushed into the northbound lanes as the southbound lanes are closed for construction. Hadley Drive is now reopened.

Avenida de Mesilla, all traffic is currently pushed into the westbound lanes to allow complete reconstruction on eastbound lanes. Valley Drive is reduced to one lane in each direction at Avenida de Mesilla. Construction will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 5 days a week.

NM 15 “Pinos Altos”, Mile Marker 0 to 1.21, Silver City

TLC Construction (Contractor) will be continuing roadway reconstruction, installation of curb and gutter, sidewalk and bike lanes. Starting Wednesday December 26, Kimberly Street will be closed for construction, detour will be in place. Closure is expected to last approximately 2 weeks reopening on January 11 if not sooner. Contractor's hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Construction is scheduled to be completed by spring of 2019.

NM 136 “Pete V Domenici Hwy”, Mile Marker 0.448 to 9.168, Santa Teresa 

FNF Construction, INC. (Contractor) continues with roadway reconstruction, roadway rehabilitation, bridge rehabilitation, signalization & lighting along NM 136, Pete V Domenici Intl. Hwy. Traffic will encounter lane closures as well as detours with an 11’ width restriction in effect throughout the project, traffic will be moved to the northbound lanes in areas. Outside of the work zone, traffic will still have double lanes in both directions with occasional lane closures for shoulder work. In addition, we will only have 4’ outside shoulder and 2’ shoulder in the barrier wall locations both directions. Contractors' hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday; lane closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

NM 498 “Racetrack Drive” Mile Marker 0.600 to 0.900, Sunland Park 

Hasse Contracting Co., Inc. (Contractor) construction is currently on suspension. NM 498 is closed from Doniphan Drive to Futurity Drive; detour is in place on Sunland Park Drive.


NM 273 “McNutt Road” Mile Marker 0 - 3, Sunland Park

Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) continues with roadway reconstruction, rehabilitation, signalization & lighting along NM 273 “McNutt Rd”. Traffic is being diverted from southbound driving lanes to northbound driving lanes with a single lane of travel in each direction. Tuesday, January 15 Luna Dr. is expected to be closed till February 1. Mimbre Dr. will be reopened late Monday afternoon, the 14.  Motorists are asked to reduce speed and follow all temporary construction signing.  The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2019.

Las Cruces Projects – City of Las Cruces:

Arroyo Road

From Red Hawk Golf Road to Sonoma Ranch Blvd will be closed to through traffic. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed and follow detours around the construction zone.

Brownlee Avenue

From Second Street to Third Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Church Street

From Bowman Avenue to Griggs Street will have one lane closed to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Las Cruces Avenue

From Church Street to Campo Street and Main Street to Water Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Miranda Street

From Parker Avenue to Palmer Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Roadrunner Parkway

From Bataan Memorial West to Sunridge Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Second Street

From Picacho Avenue to W Hadley Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Water Street

From Bowman Avenue to Griggs Street will have the west lane closed to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.
