Chavez County, NM - On March 10, 2019 at about 9:49 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatal crash just west of Hagerman, NM.  

The initial investigation indicated a 2016 Ford truck, driven by Ramon Ricardo Trevizo-Palomo (48) of Dexter, NM was traveling north on Lincoln Road when for unknown reasons ran a stop sign and struck a 2015 Chevy truck that was traveling east on Morgan Road, driven by a twenty-one-year-old female. The Ford rolled after the collision and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected.

The driver of the Ford sustained fatal injuries and he was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator. The driver and a twenty-five-year-old male passenger of the Chevy sustained unknown injuries and were transported to a local hospital. 

Alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor in the crash.  Seatbelts do not appear to have been used properly. The driver and passenger names of the Chevy will not be released as no charges have been filed. No other additional information is currently available.
