Luna County, NM - On May 31, 2019 at about 8:06 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal motorcycle crash on Interstate 10 near mile post 106, east of Deming. 

The initial investigation indicated a 2007 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Albert Leroy Normandy (78) of Edinburg, Texas, was traveling east on Interstate 10. For unknown reasons Normandy lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle left the roadway and flipped multiple times. Normandy was ejected and he sustained fatal injuries.  Normandy was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator. 

Alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor in the crash. No other additional information is currently available.
