Albuquerque, NM - On June 19, 2019 at about 11:53 p.m. the New Mexico State Police investigated a pedestrian that was fatally struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Central and General Stillwell Street NE in Albuquerque, NM. 

The initial investigation indicated a 1999 GMC pickup was traveling west on Central when it approached the intersection of General Stillwell Street NE. For reasons unknown a pedestrian, Josephia Pino (27) of Albuquerque, NM was struck in the roadway on Central, by the GMC.  She was transported to the UNM Hospital in Albuquerque where she succumbed to her injuries.  Pino was pronounced deceased by doctors at the UNM Hospital.

The driver of the GMC, who will not be named, was not injured.  The driver did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol and is not currently facing charges.
