Dona Ana County, NM –New Mexico State Police is asking the public’s help identifying the driver and a vehicle that was involved in hit-and-run in the town of Vado, NM.

On June 14, 1219 at about 11:25 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a hit-and-run injury accident.  The vehicle was traveling north on the frontage road on Stern Drive when it struck a 57-year-old female pedestrian, who was walking on the shoulder of the roadway.  The pedestrian was struck by the vehicles’ right passenger side door mirror.

Investigation and evidence led officers to believe the vehicle is an older model 1999-2007 white Ford F-250/F-350 pickup truck.  The right passenger side door mirror should have substantial visible damage.  The Ford pickup may have just left the Vado Speedway Park, prior to the hit-and-run accident.

New Mexico State Police asks anyone with information regarding the identity of the driver and the vehicle to contact the State Police in Las Cruces at (575) 382-2500, option one.
