New Mexico Economic Development Department Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes will join other state leaders on Saturday Aug. 10 at Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s constituent outreach event in Albuquerque.

The Governor’s Cabinet in Your Community constituent services day is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carpenters Local 1319 Union Hall, 3900 Pan American Freeway NE, Albuquerque, N.M. 87107.

Keyes and the Economic Development staff will be on hand with information on economic development assistance programs for businesses, including job training and expansion grants. The agency will also be able to help answer questions about technical assistance, technology transfer grants, Opportunity Zones, and federal small-business programs.

New Mexico Film Office Director Todd Christensen will be able to assist businesses interested in becoming a film industry vendor. The Film Office can also answer questions about workforce training initiatives and academic programs in film and media.

“This is a great one-stop shop for economic development resources in the state,” said Keyes. “We would encourage anyone who might benefit from our programs to come out Saturday and see if we can assist you.”

The Film Office is also hosting its 7th annual Film and Media Industry Conference this weekend at the Hyatt Regency, 330 Tijeras Ave NW, Albuquerque, N.M. 87102. Those working in the industry or interested in a career can learn more about the trades and technical jobs and enroll in workshops.
