“Take a Ride on Us”

ALBUQUERQUE  –  The New Mexico Department of Transportation in continuing its work to ENDWI in the state, is partnering with Bernalillo County, the city of Albuquerque, Cumulus radio stations and Uber to support “Take a Ride on Us.”

An Uber credit of up to $10 will be offered in the Bernalillo County metro area over the Labor Day holiday weekend.  State Transportation Secretary Michael Sandoval said, “Please take advantage of this opportunity to get home safely.”

The Labor Day “Take a Ride on Us” program begins Friday, Aug. 30 at 3:00 p.m. and runs through Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 3:00 a.m. Twelve-hundred rides will be offered under the Uber app, using the code:ABQLABOR19.  One ride per person is offered and the code may be downloaded starting Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 6:00 a.m.  Tips are not included and refunds are not provided for trips under $10.

Since Christmas 2018, this public-private partnership has provided thousands of safe rides home to New Mexican’s living in the Albuquerque metro area who chose not to drink and drive.

Working together, we can ENDWI.
