Santa Fe, NM (September 17, 2019) – Modern luxury magazine Polo Lifestyles will host the inauguralPolo Lifestyles Santa Fe International Polo Open on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Developed by Polo Lifestyles, the event will feature two international polo matches, a red carpet walk for VIPs through oversized doors and, against a backdrop of green and floral, heritage and boutique fashion shows and contests, local flavors and savors of delicious catering experiences, VIP tents for corporate and event partners, as well as pre- and after-parties for attendees and guests.

Driving local and regional interest in the equestrian sport of polo starts with engaging fans, attendees and guests. Throughout the day, there will be fun-filled fashion moments, including a fashion walk and best-dressed competitions for men and women, as well as a best hat contest for women. Judges will make selections throughout the day for the final line up and awards between matches. There will be shopping and pop-up boutiques flanking the VIP areas, with items available for immediate gratification – or choose to have your items shipped home following the event. Half-time during polo matches is typically reserved for the divot stomp and champagne toast, but at the Santa Fe Polo Open, the half-time activities will include races up and down the field for both prizes and bragging rights.

Multiple levels of VIP tents and ticket options will be made available to attendees and guests, starting with corporate marquee tents. This option is available for companies, brands, and organizations that wish to enjoy the day’s events from the comfort of their customized tent and VIP experience. The VIP Marquee, available by invitation only, is the place to see and be seen throughout the day. The Polo Lifestyles Lounge will exude a rich, field-side experience with tickets open to the public. On the other side of the field, the Sidelines Garden, complete with bars and food vendors, music and up-front real estate on the polo field, will be an exciting experience for novice and seasoned polo fans.

Polo Lifestyles is the world’s fastest-growing and most-widely read publication that encompasses both the Sport of Kings, as well as complementing and exciting trends and lifestyles events. The monthly publication’s readership and audience attracts the attention of luxury brands, dealers and advertisers. The Santa Fe Polo Open is yet another opportunity to connect the world of luxury with exciting polo, this time, in Santa Fe, which is endorsed by major travel experts as a top U.S. destination for art, culture, food, and summer climate.

“A big part of the Polo Lifestyles brand is bringing polo to the people,” said magazine publisher, Claude-Alix Bertrand. “We constantly find that people in communities just like Santa Fe – where polo has been dormant for a bit – embrace the vision to bring an event like this to life. Through strategic partnerships with the city and state, along with the premier hotels, luxury automotive brands and upscale food and beverage brands, we are presenting a signature polo event unlike anything Santa Fe has seen.”

As the official brand of the Santa Fe Polo Open, Polo Lifestyles and its carefully curated brand partners will ensure loyalty to the very core of the brand: modern luxury and exciting polo. International players coming from Africa, the Caribbean, South America and South Africa will face local and regional teams from New Mexico and provide a dramatic showdown on the turf for attendees and guests. Confirmed teams include Haiti Polo Team and a mixed men’s and women’s team of New Mexican players.
