 ALBUQUERQUE, NM —Delanie Crist is the newest staff hire for the Republican Party of New Mexico as communications director. Crist will assist the party with a broad range of communications, outreach and event support.

“I met Miss Crist when she interned on Capitol Hill, she is driven, hard-working and ready to help,” RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce said. “We are excited for her to be back in New Mexico and working for the people.”

Crist is a New Mexico native born in Las Cruces. Her family later moved to eastern New Mexico where she grew up in Texico. She has earned a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University in agricultural business and economics and went onto receive her master’s degree in agricultural communications at Texas Tech University.

During her last semester of graduate school Crist served as an intern for the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture in Washington, D.C. Upon graduation she spent a short stint working in production agriculture in rural Oklahoma. Crist later relocated to Lubbock, Texas, where she worked for National Sorghum Producers as the communications coordinator.
