Seventeen nonprofits expand youth learning by receiving education grants from PNM Resources Foundation

(Albuquerque, N.M.) – Seventeen New Mexico nonprofits are now able to expand Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) learning for students across the state after receiving more than $150,000 in grants from the PNM Resources Foundation.

Each nonprofit grant recipient demonstrated educational efforts in building vibrant communities throughout New Mexico and received between $5,000 and $15,000 for programs supporting STEAM education.

“Our commitment to moving the state forward is more than providing electricity,” said Wayne Frye, PNM Resources Foundation board president. “It also means shining a light on our youth and providing them with learning tools today that will help New Mexico’s future.”

PNM has been serving and investing in New Mexico's communities for more than 100 years and focuses on three main areas to help improve the state’s communities - education, economic vitality, and environmental stewardship.
