Dr. Craig R. Lundahl, 74, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Gila Regional Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1943 in Logan, UT to Raymond Eugene and Geraldine Lundahl. Craig received his higher education degrees from Bringham Young University, Utah State University where he received his doctorate degree and post doctorate from Harvard. He was a professor of Sociology and Business at Western New Mexico University. He earned the status of Professor Emeritus upon retirement. Craig also did extensive research in the areas of Sociology, Social Theory, and Near Death Experiences. He authored books on near death experience. Craig was a man of strong faith who was well respected for his vast knowledge of many subjects. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, enjoyment of nature and his good kind disposition.

He is survived by his wife Rafaela of the family home; one brother, Kirk Lundahl of Denver, CO and one sister Cynthia Lundahl of Vancouver, WA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Friday, July 7 from 9-10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3rd Ward, 3755 N. Swan St., Silver City, NM 88061 with Funeral Service to commence at 10am with Bishop Randall Roth officiating. Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Las Cruces, NM at 2:30pm. Pallbearers will be Kirk Lundahl, Manuel, Miguel, Frank, Roberto, and Julio Dominguez. Honorary pallbearer will be Timothy Rolfe.
