Hortensia Millan, 83, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

Hortencia was born in Namiquipa, Mexico and lived in Bayard, NM for the last 51 years.

She was a very loving, kind hearted person who loved to laugh and spend time with her loving friend Alice Smith.

She loved to travel to Mexico to visit her family. She loved to visit with her sisters Margo, Nena, Catalina, Gloria, Anita and her brothers Samuel, Polo, Tavo, Mario, Ramiro and all her nieces and nephews. She loved her grandkids Arisbeth, Adrian, and Briseida very much. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Hortensia loved to sew, cook, crochet, play bingo and loteria.

She was preceded in death by her parents Palemon Jaime Nevarez and Petra Tena Soto, and companion Gonzalo Gonzales.

Rosary will be recited at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 28,2017 at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Hurley Cemetery.
