karen wilson rsKaren Elaine Wilson, 50, a longtime resident of Grant County, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017, at Gila Regional Medical Center.

Karen was born May 19, 1967, at Sierra Vista, Arizona to Stanley Burl Wilson and Frances Gail Wilson, their fourth child. Surviving siblings are Darrell Guy Wilson, Kevin L. Wilson, and Wendy Sue Danley.

In 1985 she and James (Chamo) Morales had their first child James Wilson born in Silver City, NM. Then with Thomas Pete Ortega she had Joshua Wilson and Andrea Wilson (Robles).

She enjoyed camping, fishing, rock hunting, and other outdoor activities.

Karen earned her Associate of Arts degree in Nursing from Western New Mexico University which led to her career in Home Healthcare. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, and she lived her life for her children and grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her parents, siblings, her children; James Wilson, his children Cayden Wilson and Jadelynn Rodriguez, his girlfriend Eva Featheringill and her son Alejandro Featheringill; Joshua Wilson, his children Zoey Jayne Wilson and Jovanni Zayne Wilson, and his girlfriend Mae Agbayani and her daughter Kayla; Andrea Robles and her husband Damien Robles and their children Caleb Perez (father Stevan Perez), Kendra Robles, and Kaylie Robles.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Pastor Randy Teague officiating.
