mike molina rsMiguel "Mikito" Sabastian Molina Jr., 60, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on August 26, 2017. Mike passed away at Providence Sierra Hospital in El Paso, TX while his loving family surrounded him. Mike was welcomed to heaven with open arms by his Mom Gloria and his Dad Mike.

Mike was born June 8, 1957 in Silver City NM to Gloria and Mike Molina. Mike was the eldest of four children. He was one of the few people still around the area that attended Saint Mary's Elementary School and graduated from Silver High School. During his youth, Mike became an accomplished athlete, excelling in baseball as a pitcher. Mike often made the Daily Press for his sports highlights from Little League to High School. He enjoyed telling his baseball stories to his children and grandchildren and his friends. Mike was especially fond of the Dallas Cowboys, Dodgers and the Lakers. He always looked forward to watching any of his teams playing. Mike had a great career as a car parts salesman. Mike began his career at Copper Auto Parts in Silver City and eventually worked for Big A Auto, Chino Mine and eventually ending his career working for Car Quest. Mike met the love of his life, Rosemary Lara and married her in 1989. Mike had such a big heart that he married Rosemary and willingly raised Rosemary's five young children. Mike was a great father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and mentor. Many times you could find Mike at home with his family sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by his family and listening to his music. Mike could name every song and band that came along in the 80's. Mike will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his family.

Mike is survived by one brother, Tony Molina (Emily), and sisters Judy Muniz (Danny) and Sandy Wilson (Tom). Mike is also survived by his loving wife of 28 years Rosemary Molina, his daughters Emmarie Flores (Eddie), Martina Fuller (Robert), Shannon Molina, Evangelyn Chavez (David), and Crystal Turner (George) sons Nick Chavez, and Michael Molina (Kerry). Mike is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Chavez, Sabrina Lopez, Alyssa Carrasco (Robert), Eric Wilmeth, Edward and Alexis Flores, Xzavian Chavez, Michael Fuller, Christopher and Nickolas Chavez, Tobias and Ethan Turner, Marcus Casas, Riley, Cole, Gage, Taylor, Simon and Bailey Molina. Also his great grandchildren Caden and Caleb Wilmeth, and Zya Gonzales. Mike was survived by numerous nephews and nieces and best friends that lasted his life time.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother Gloria Molina and his father Mike Molina Sr.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 9am to 10am at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City where the Funeral Service will follow at ten o'clock in the morning. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Mathieu. Concluding services and burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Edward Flores III, Xzavian Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Nick Chavez, George Turner and Robert Fuller.
