david jaramillo rsDavid S. Jaramillo, 91, of Hurley, entered eternal rest Monday, December 4, 2017 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, NM.

He was born June 28, 1926 to Perfecto and Margarita Jaramillo.

He enjoyed family gatherings, was avid Raider fan, enjoyed Spanish & mariachi music, Western movies, played Santa Claus for his grandkids. Enjoyed eating hot red enchiladas, chili in general and other Spanish food. He worked as a repairman and retired from Kennecott after 39 years. His co workers knew him as "El Tecolote blanco" (the white owl.)

He was married to Susie Saenz Jaramillo, with whom he had one son, David Jaramillo Jr. (Kathy) Hurley, NM and three daughters, Carol Arellano (Ben) Phoenix, AZ, Molly Gonzales (Tony) Silver City, Elva Guerrero, Hurley. He had seven grandchildren; Ben Arellano Jr. (Diane), Ray Gonzales (Rose), Billy Gonzales (Audrey), David Jaramillo III (Liz), Chris Jaramillo (Tabitha), Angela Jaramillo, (Samantha Guerrero); fourteen great-grandchildren; Freddy, Raziel, Jaden, Anthony, Xena, Eric, Sonny, Leila, Izaiah, Cassidy, Aryne, Nathaniel, Dasia, Mia; four great-great grandchildren: Joseph Jr., Anthony Jr., Maddox, Julian. Brothers, Ruben Jaramillo of Hurley, Jimmy Jaramillo of Hurley. Sisters, Jenny Muzquiz, Long Beach CA Hope Pizzuto (Sal) Hurley. Sister-in-law, Clara Felix. Brothers-in-law, John Saenz, Sam Saenz (Beatrice). Numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by (wife) Susie, (son)-Billy, (parents), (brother) Perfecto Jr, brother-in-law, Carlos Felix & Claude Muzquiz, sister-in-law, Clorinda Saenz, Mother-in-law, Amelia Saenz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Bright Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Hurley Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ray Gonzales, Billy Gonzales, David Jaramillo III, Chris Jaramillo, Ben Arellano Jr., Samantha Guerrero, Anthony Gonzales, Angela Jaramillo, Eric Gonzales, Freddy Moreno. Honorary pallbearers: great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
