Viola A. Sosaya, 66, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 12, 1951 in Silver City, NM to her mother Anita Arroyos.

Viola was the kind of person who would worry about everyone's wellbeing but herself.

She loved game shows, soap operas, and diet cokes.

She was an avid KC Chiefs fan.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mariano Sosaya of the family home; one son, Andrew Sosaya of Bayard; one daughter, Cynthia Sosaya of Bayard; one granddaughter, Anita Sosaya of Albuquerque; one sister, Mary Ann Ayala and companion Al Sandoval of Silver City; brothers-in-law, Richard Sosaya (Esperanza) of Silver City; Robert Sosaya (Patsy) of Santa Clara; Johnny Sosaya (Lucy) of Silver City; Alex Sosaya (Natalia) of Silver City; sisters-in-law, Patty Smith of Anaheim, CA; Rosie Sosaya of Anaheim, CA; Rita Sosaya of Seattle, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Arroyos; her sister, Dorothy Ayala; her brother, Jesus "Chuy" Ayala; brother-in-law, Mario Sosaya.

Her rosary will be held Thursday, February 8 at 6 pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Richard Rodriguez reciting. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 9 at 9 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Abraham Soliz officiating. Cremation will follow at Terrazas Crematory. Inurnment will take place at 4 pm at St. Vincent Catholic cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Sosaya, Johnny Sosaya, Zeke Chavez, Al Sandoval, Emilio Gomez, and Richard Sosaya Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be all her nieces and nephews and the rest of her family.
