aaron roberts rsAaron was born on May 6, 1955 in Silver City, NM, the youngest of three sons, to Clay and Naida (Brown) Roberts.

He grew up with his two older brothers Gary and Calvin, along with many neighbors, family, and life-long friends, in the Cottage San Road area of Silver City, NM.

During his young adult life, Aaron worked construction, and was a ranch hand for Quentin Hulse, the D Bar Ranch, and the Ladder Ranch.

In 1979, Aaron married Phyllis Boone, in Silver City, NM. Together they spent 20 years building a home and beautiful life for their two daughters, Tessie Lu and Renee Lynn.

During those 20 years, Aaron provided for his family drilling water wells throughout Grant, Luna, Catron, and Hidalgo counties. He provided a beautiful home and life for his family, full of wonderful memories.

For the past 17 years, upon selling the drilling business, Aaron has worked as a welder. His welding career took him to various places around the country, but for the past 5 years, Aaron has been welding in Morenci for Freeport McMoran. During this time, he has resided in his peaceful home in Glenwood, NM, a place he dearly loved to be.

Aaron loved the outdoors. Camping, hunting, and fishing were some of his favorite pass-times. If you couldn't find him at home, chances were he would be fishing at the Glenwood pond, or taking his three dogs out for a ride to the woods or mountains.

He found joy in spending time with friends, family, and neighbors, going dancing, backyard barbeques, and campfires. What Aaron cherished most in life were his two daughters, Tessie and Renee, and their families. He gave all he had to his life with his family.

Aaron was a hard-working man who taught his family and those close to him the importance of patience and humbleness. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor, and those who knew him loved him. Aaron will be so dearly missed by many friends and family.

He is survived by his two daughters, Tessie Valenzuela (Pete) of Silver City; Renee LaMarca (Scott) of Safford, AZ; his step-mother, Judy Russom of Silver City; three grandchildren, Ian and Monte Valenzuela, Allie LaMarca; one brother, Calvin Roberts of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Naida B. Roberts; one brother, Gary Roberts; one sister, Tilene Roberts.

A celebration of Aaron's life will be held early in the summer. The date will be announced within the upcoming month.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
