robin scott rsRobert "Robin" D. Scott of Santa Clara passed away peacefully on May 30, 2018.

"Rube" was born April 1952 in Carlsbad, NM. He moved to Silver City, NM after high school and attended WNMU where he played on the golf team.  He was an exceptional high school athlete lettering in football, basketball and golf. In 1970 he set a Caveman record for low round 65 which stood for many years. He won the Men's Silver City championship in 1997.

He became a brick mason and was active in the Grant County softball and golf community for many years. He was a member of the Fort Bayard Historical Society. He was an accomplished poker player and enjoyed fishing throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughter Shayne Scott of Las Cruces, two grandsons Matthew and Austin. His sister Janice Scott of Silver City, NM, his brother Jay Scott of Pinos Altos, his brother Craig "Chig" Scott of Albuquerque, NM, and his beloved niece Marissa Granadino and his grandnieces Makiah and Dani Granadino of Silver City, NM, and his nephew Britton Scott, also of Silver City, NM.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bright Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a Diabetes Charity.
