ed carrillo rsCarrillo, Edward (Eddie) went home to his Lord on June 6, 2018. Eddie was born on June 19, 1932 to Arcadio "Cayo" and Frances Carrillo in Silver City, New Mexico where he attended local schools.

On June 1, 1951 he and his father joined Knights of Columbus. Eddie is the longest serving 4th degree member in this area. He was also a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars where he had been a member since 1988. Mr. Carrillo was also a member since 1989 of the Loyal Order of Moose (Lodge 1718).

In 1953 Edward entered the Army where he served in the Korean Conflict for two years. Eddie had been stationed in Okinawa. After returning home to Silver City, he went to work for the Silver City Daily Press. He remained an employee there until an accident caused him to retire. He is survived by the love of his life; his wife Margaret. He had been a communicant of St. Francis Newman Center for many years.

Eddie was a hard-working, loyal, supportive and loving husband, son-in-law, uncle and friend. During his life, he was a happy and content man who chose never to complain or to be in anyway a negative person. He loved to be outside working on his yard and tending to his vegetable and flowering plants. His special gift was in the building trades.

It gave him great pleasure to have his nieces visit and to enjoy his patio. He was a quiet man who possessed a bright outlook on life and a spontaneous sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
