leocadia telles rsLeocadia "Leona" Bustamante Telles, 87, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her residence.

She was born January 28,1931 in Fierro, NM to Luis and Mariana Molina Bustamante.

She loved gardening and grew the most beautiful roses. She loved to bake and when she made cinnamon rolls the neighborhood kids would find outyyyyy and would soon be visiting Leona.

She raised eleven children of her own after being widowed at an early age; but did not stop there. She was a major part in her grandchildren's lives and found time to be a Nanny to the children of other family members and special family friends. Leona did not divide her love among all those she loved, she multiplied it.

She is survived by four daughters, Rufina Saiz and husband Danny of Eugene, OR; Rosemary Romero and husband Mike of Rio Rancho; Reina Brown and husband Randy of Lake Stevens, WA; Ramona Vasquez and husband Pete of Santa Clara; five sons, Anselmo Telles and wife Alejandra of Hurley; Alexandro Telles of Tucson, AZ; Abran Telles of El Paso, TX; Armando Juan Telles and wife Rita of Tucson, AZ; Arturo Telles of Tucson, AZ; twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Anselmo M. Telles; one son, Alberto Telles; one daughter, Rosalinda Powers; two daughters-in-law, Beatrice Telles and Ciria "Sheila" Telles; two brothers, Luis and Danny Bustamante; three sisters, Mariana Barreras, Mary Lou Madrid, and Carmen Bencomo; a great granddaughter, Amelise Telles Lopez.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19 from 9-10 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Dr. Gilbert Arizaga reciting. The funeral liturgy will follow at 11 a.m. at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Robert Becerra officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will take place at St. Vincent Catholic cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adrian and Carlos Luna, Eric Maez, Armando Telles Jr., Damian Gonzales, and Gabriel Telles.
