jose aguilar rsJose Daniel Aguilar Jr., affectionately known as "Chacho" or "Hozer" to many, of Silver City, NM passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Jose was born May 13, 1960 to Danny and Irene Aguilar in San Jose, CA where he spent most of his life.

Jose was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army who loved God and his country.

The love of his family and friends, sports (SF Giants, SF Niners, Sharks, Warriors, and Stanford Cardinals), WWE, Sammy Hager, KISS, Van Halen and every hair band in between are things he will always be remembered for. "Some like it hot, I like it Red" – Sammy Hager.

He is survived by three daughters, Jenna and her husband James; Shannon and her husband Timothy; and Dayna; as well as his three granddaughters, Hailey, Ava, and Charlotte. He leaves behind his mother and father, sister Victoria and her husband Ken, brother Robert and his wife Kerrie, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews all whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his sister Lydia Aguilar-Atz and his grandparents Frank and Clara (Aguilar) and Manuel and Dolores (Garcia).

A Graveside service officiated by Father Oliver Obele will be held Friday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors. Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory.
