jack defausell rsJack Ray Defausell 88 entered eternal rest July 10, 2018 at Fort Bayard Medical Center. He fought a long battle with Alzheimers.

He was born on November 1929 in Newllano, Louisiana to Raymond Defausell and Zelma Thompson.

Later they divorced and his mom moved Jack and his little sister Barbara to Gila, NM when he was only four years old.

His mother soon remarried and another son, Walter Lee, was born.

They grew up at Gila and at seventeen Jack joined the army. He was in the Korean Conflict. When he finished his service he came back to Gila, where he met and married Melva Allen. Out of this marriage two children were born, Michael and Kathy Defausell.

Jack worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation as a shovel operator for around thirty years or more.

He retired and spent his time helping those in need. He loved people had many friends everywhere, he was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved his heavenly father.

After Melva passed he later met and married Irma Wright Coryell. They made their home in Bayard and sold his place in Gila in 1993. Jack is survived by his loving wife of the family home. He also has three children Russell Coryell, Wendee Waters, and Lori Coryell, a sister Barbara Stockton (Buddy), his step brother Walter Lee (Vicki).

Preceded in death are his parents, daughter Kathy, and grandson Patrick (PJ), or Josh Bailey.
